Excellent software, can copy folders with timestamps.
Reliable, fast, thorough but simple to use. I wanted a software capable of copying files and folders without altering timestamps (modification or creation dates) ; so far I only found two, including SynchronizeIt (the other one is XYplorer). I used SynchronizeIt to transfer all files and folders from the two IDE hard drives (120 & 250GB) in my old computer to the SATA hard drive (640GB) in the new one, it was faster than I thought (though the listing of a large amount of files takes some time, I wish it could be skipped) and all the dates have been preserved so I can easily sort the data.
Pros:
One of the very few softwares that can copy files AND folders in Windows XP without modifying the timestamps. Very easy to use.
Cons:
Currently (version 3.4) the timestamps are not kept when copying from CD to hard drive : in that case it behaves like a basic copy with Windows explorer, and I still haven't found a software keeping all dates in that case. More
